As you probably know by now, I have two dogs: Hank and Elvis Parsley. And while you might see me with one or both of them at our local hardware store, I can’t take them everywhere with me.
If – God forbid – something were to happen to me or there were an emergency at the house, I would want to make sure that they were taken care of and safe.
I saw a card like this on Facebook and thought it was genius.
It’s a card that you can keep in your wallet so that, in the event of an emergency, someone knows your pet is at home alone.
I thought it was such a good idea that I made a bunch of them that you can download and print for your wallet!
Here’s how to do it:
- Click on the card you want, below. There are cards for pet, pets, dog, dogs, cat, and cats.
- A non-watermarked version of the card will open in a new window in your browser. Save it to your computer (either by right-clicking on the image or by File -> Save).
- Open the saved file and print. Make sure you don’t have the “fit to page” setting in your print dialogue box checked.
- Put your emergency contact information on the reverse side of the card.
- If you want, you can even laminate it to make it more durable (affiliate link: you can buy laminating sheets here).

Also, I have a decal like the one below on our front and back door windows at home. I got the decal from my vet’s office, but they don’t give them away anymore. So I made one to share with you – just follow the same instructions above: click on it to download the non-watermarked version, save it, print it, fill in the number and type of pet(s) and your vet’s information, and then hang on your home’s door or window.
