Laundry Room Makeovers (Friday Five)

Happy Friday, everyone! For today’s Friday Five, in honor of my own laundry room makeover, I thought I’d share five beautiful and functional laundry rooms. Here are five laundry room makeovers that might even make doing laundry fun! (Maybe? Perhaps?)

1. Rustic Industrial Laundry Room Makeover

Stacy at Not Just a Housewife made over her laundry room with a plank wall, metal baskets, and a hanging bar made from galvanized pipe:

I love the industrial look, so I flipped over this laundry room! I especially like how the wood warms up the cool industrial metal pieces in the room.

2. Happy, Colorful Laundry Room Makeover

Kim from The Kim Six Fix created a happy laundry room with white and bright teal.

3. Storage Galore Laundry Room Makeover

The laundry room is one of those all-purpose storage areas; I store all kinds of stuff in my laundry room that isn’t laundry-related, like extra knobs, rags, tools, etc. Jacque and Matt from The DIY Village created tons of storage in their laundry room:

In the corner of the above picture, you can see that they hung an old ladder from the ceiling – what a creative hanging storage solution! (You know I love a good upcycle!)

Speaking of storage, look at how much storage Amy from Atta Girl Says created in her laundry room:

What I really like about both of these laundry room makeovers is that they created storage by going up – with cubbies or cabinets on the wall. If you don’t have the floor space for baskets or shelves, put them on the wall instead.

4. Creating Useful Space Laundry Room Makeover

Don’t have space to fold and organize laundry? Look at what Julie at Redhead Can Decorate did: She created a folding station out of a closet!

Redhead Can Decorate Cute-Closet-Folding-NookBy adding shelves and baskets, she took a regular ol’ closet and turned it into an organized, useful folding space.

5. Chic Country Laundry Room Makeover

Kelly at The Lily Pad Cottage created a gorgeous laundry room with white, black, and navy:

On the other side of the room is a countertop for folding and a command center wall, with a chalkboard, calendar, and chore charts for her kids. Chic, modern, and a little country – love.

Aren’t these makeovers amazing?? Laundry rooms can be pretty AND functional!

Tell me about your laundry space! Does your laundry room make you want to do laundry, or does it make you feel like this?

I am going to remodel my laundry room last. I still cannot decide what to do with is as it is our guest bathroom also. I has a shower and large vanity that I’m thinking about changing from no shower and only a small pedestal sink and toilet then I would have more room for a sorting table and storage. I could use the old vanity as a sorting table with a new counter top as well.

That would be cool to use the old vanity as a sorting table! I’m all about repurposing like that. It’s always a challenge when a room has to pull double-duty. I’d love to hear what you end up doing with it! Keep me posted!
