2014 has been a busy year! I can’t believe all that’s happened: lots of projects in the old house, then we moved, then lots of projects – inside and out – in the new-to-us 1929 house. Here’s a look back at the top ten posts of 2014. You can click on the picture(s) to go directly to that post.
10. Repurposing Old Lockers for Storage
I found a set of old lockers at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore for $149.99 (!!) and turned them into toy storage for the kiddos.
Close second for #10: Christmas Countdown Chalkboard
I love this chalkboard. I’ve already erased the Christmas message and am ready to add one for New Year’s.
9. Five Tips for Painting a Room
Good tips for painting a room. I also posted in October about how to spray paint:

Now you have no excuse not to paint something in 2015!
8. The Secret to Unsticking Windows
I loved hearing from many of you that this trick worked for you, too!
7. Vintage Coke Crate Spice Rack
I turned this vintage Coke crate into a spice rack in our kitchen:
And I was honored that my spice rack was featured at BobVila.com! That was a highlight for me!
6. From Victorian to Vintage (it’s as easy as changing a lightbulb!)
I removed the builder-grade light shades on the fixtures in our bathroom and added these Edison bulbs for a more vintage look.
We love the new look and they provide plenty of light in the bathroom.
5. Industrial Cart into Bar Cart
One of my favorite projects, ever. I had to mess it up once to get it right, but it was so worth it. I love my little cart!
4. Faux Roman Shades from Shower Curtains
Another bathroom update.
I had to stop flashing the neighbors, after all!
3. How to Build a Pedestal for Your Laundry Room
Using a plan from Ana White, I changed some things and added some things and built this custom pedestal for our laundry room.
2. Best All-Natural Way to Clean Grout
One of my most popular posts ever. An easy, all-natural way to clean grout.
And finally…drum roll please! The #1 most viewed post of 2014 was…
1. Bedroom Redo on a Budget
You all loved how my daughter ripped a picture from Better Homes and Gardens magazine and decided she wanted her room to look like that picture.
I didn’t have the budget for what was exactly in the picture, so I came up with this:
It turned out really well. Most importantly, she loves it!
So, there you have it! The top posts of 2014.
I can’t wait for 2015! Lots of projects planned, including finishing our kitchen re-do:

Stay tuned.
Thank you so much for reading Dogs Don’t Eat Pizza and supporting me! You all rock!
