This is a product review of the WORX Trimmer/Edger and Aerocart. I was provided with the products for this review, but the opinions here are 100% my own.
You know your yard needs work when you walk outside and the first song to jump in your head is “Welcome to the Jungle.”
Because of all the rain we’ve had, the weeds were taking over our front yard. Time to clean it up and move the weeds out!
WORX asked me to try and to review its 20V 2.0 GT Grass Trimmer/Edger and its Aerocart. I happily accepted, knowing that my yard needed serious help.
The grass trimmer/edger is actually a 3-in-1 tool: a trimmer, an edger, and a mini-mower. I first used it as a trimmer/mini-mower to tackle the weeds in our yard:
It handled the weeds, including vines, well. Cut right through them. The flower guard (the orange part in the picture) helped clear weeds close to the plants without damaging the plants.
Then I tried the edger function. I started with the same area, creating a border around the bed I was weeding:
It was really easy and it made a clean edge.
Next, I tried edging at the curb.
The edger made a clean edge, a nice line along the curb.
My review of the edger/trimmer/mini-mower?
Pros:
Lightweight – I had no problem at all lifting it and moving it.
Easily maneuverable – Adjustable handles make it easy to use and, because it’s lightweight, it’s easy to move around plants and trees. The orange guard also helps protect plants when you edge/trim around them.
Cordless – No cords to get in the way, and the battery charged quickly and held its charge throughout the work I did here.
Cons:
The only “con” I have is that the mini-mower is really for smaller, lawn-type jobs. It’s not for tall grass; it works well in shorter grass and weeds. The trimmer and edger worked great at getting weeds out of the way.
After all that weeding, I needed to clean up. Time to try the Aerocart.
The great thing about the Aerocart is that it’s both a wheelbarrow and a dolly – and it’s easy to switch from one function to the other.
All it takes to convert from a wheelbarrow to a dolly is a slide and click of the orange piece, and moving the legs. So easy.
I used the Aerocart as a dolly to move lawn bags full of yard and weed clippings. Worked like a charm.
Pros:
Easy to use and change positions.
Multi-use: wheelbarrow or dolly. You can also use the attachments that come with it to lift stones or heavy pots, or to hold plastic bags.
Cons:
My daughter tried to take it to use as a wagon. Sorry, M – this one is for Mom.
Want to win your own? Easy! Just follow the instructions below. I’ll choose a winner at random in one week, and WORX will send the winner BOTH the trimmer and Aerocart! Perfect for Father’s Day or anyone who has yard work to do!
