So, the most asked question after my last post about redoing our guest bath into our master bath was WHAT COLOR am I painting it?!?!??

Before I reveal the color, keep in mind that the guest room – soon to be the master bedroom – is painted Behr’s Gentle Rain:

I wanted a color for the bathroom that coordinated with the color in the bedroom. I really want to create a serene master suite here. So, I took the Gentle Rain color and went a few shades lighter:

Ah, but that’s not all…

I am going to make an accent wall in that bathroom – on the wall where the shelves and mirror are now.

I am going to tackle a challenge for this wall. No, I’m not hanging a curtain rod, although it’s something that I’m about as ~~bad at~~ challenged by.

My Word of the Year is CONFIDENT, so I’m going with that and…

I’m going to stencil the wall.

  Thanks, Jennifer! It’s a nice neutral, but leaning toward blueish. I can’t wait to see how it turns out, too! 🙂

Boy, you’re becoming a big tease … baiting us with all these mysteries. Will you do this project quickly, to put us out of our misery? Hope so. Great colors.

  Yep – I plan to start on it Thursday or Friday, actually. Will need to paint two coats to cover the blue in there now. Then, let the stencilling begin! Confidence!

This is going to be so exciting! I am deathly afraid of stenciling and would so love to experiment….just don’t have the confidence myself. So I’ll be very interested in technique and supplies.
Very nice color!! I love these subtle shades.
I must have missed a previous post: What are you moving your master bedroom to now guest room? Are the two room going to be a swap?

  Thanks, Sharon! No, the move-around is much more than that. My daughter currently has the smallest bedroom, but we took the room that is the mirror image of her brother’s room so that all the bedrooms would be upstairs. Now that she’s older and she plays in her room a lot, we are moving downstairs to what is now the guest room (which is really the master bedroom anyway), she is moving to what is now the master, and her room – the smallest bedroom – will become the guest room. Whew! It’s going to be quite the undertaking!
