Thirty Days of Gratitude, Day 4: The Right to Vote

Today, I am thankful that I can and did vote.

GA voter

We are so lucky and blessed that we live in a country where we can freely vote.  I am thankful that I have a voice in that process.

Tonight as we hear the results of our votes, let’s resolve, no matter what the result, to be civil to each other.  As my friend Amanda said:

Let’s try to remember that we all still have to live together on Wednesday…and suggesting that support for the other guy, on either side, is somehow anti-USA, anti-God, or stupid/thoughtless/unprincipled doesn’t do much to unite us as we continue to face challenging times ahead.  We’re all so lucky to live in a country where we have the right and privilege to participate in our own governance.

If you voted today, feel good that you have exercised a right that so many around the world have to fight for every day.

Happy Election Day, Friends.
Thanks for stopping by.
