Does everyone else love spring cleaning as much as I do? (I’m kind of nutty that way.)
As part of spring cleaning, we flip our mattress. You know, so we don’t get those body-shaped dents in it. Also, it’s good to vacuum it and behind the bed.
I decided it was time to flip the mattress.
Every time we flip the mattress, the bedskirt moves. It slips around and it’s impossible to keep it in place. It’s annoying. I’ve actually torn one once by pulling and tugging on it to get back in place.
No more! I had the best idea today – one of those head-smacking good ideas. Here’s how to keep a bedskirt in place when moving or flipping a mattress.

Velcro is the answer! (Or, hook and loop fastener, for the non-brand version.)

Here’s what the bedskirt looked like after I took the mattress off:
Here’s what I did:
I took the velcro and put it on the corners and middle of the top edge of the box spring and in the corresponding place on the underside of the top edge of the bedskirt.

Then I put the mattress back on. Notice: the bedskirt is in the same place! It hasn’t moved!
Look how great that looks! It didn’t budge. Why didn’t I think of this sooner? (Forehead smacked, again.)
I hope this helps you the next time you flip your mattress or make your bed or whenever you need to put that bedskirt in its place!
